Middle school basketball is offered for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls and boys. Each middle school team plays in a local Little Rock area league. The games started in December and the schedule can be obtained my visiting the following link:LAMS BASKETBALL SCHEDULE.
Each team is coached by a parent/guardian, who was chosen by Coach Copeland and Coach Black. At the present time LISA Middle School has one 6th grade girls basketball team, one 7th grade girls basketball team, one 8th grade girls basketball team, and one 7th & 8th grade boys basketball team. GO LADY JAGUARS & JAGUARS!!!

LAMS Basketball Post Season Update:
The league for the middle school basketball teams is coming to a close. I am glad to report that the year has been a successful one. Both the girls' and boy's teams performed well and represented Lisa Academy admirably. There will be a post season tournament this weekend, March 12th and 13th. A schedule of the tourney is attached. It will be a single elimination format. Please forward this to the other coaches, as I do not have all of their contact information. Also attached is information regarding the league's Sports Banquet. The banquet will take place on Friday, March 19th. This information should also be given to the coaches to communicate to their players.
The 6th grade Lady Jaguars finished in first place in their respective division with a record of 5-1. The 6th grade Lady Jaguars received an automatic bid to play for the tournament championship on Saturday (3/13) at 4 p.m. The 7th and 8th grade Lady Jaguars finished the season with records of 1-4 and 2-4, respectively. The 7th and 8th grade Lady Jaguar teams will play each other Saturday (3/13) at 11 a.m. for a chance to play the 6th grade Lady Jaguars in the championship game at 4 p.m.
The 7th and 8th grade (boys) Jaguars finished 2nd in their division with a record of 8-4. The boys are scheduled to play Friday night at 8pm and Saturday morning at 10am. If they win those two games, they will play for the tournament championship at 5pm on Saturday.
All games will be located at the 2nd Baptist Christian Academy located on 6111 W. 83rd St. in Little Rock.

7th & 8th Grade Jaguars Basketball Update: (1/25 - 2/13)
The 7th and 8th Grade Jaguars are on a 3 game win streak. The team won this past Saturday (2/13) by a score of 40-11 against Second Baptist Church. Matthew Jernigan led all scorers with 17 points. Errick Jackson and Malik Manning chipped in 9 points each.
On 2/6, the Jaguars were victorious against St. Mark Baptist Church by a score of 31-18. Matthew Jernigan led all scorers with 15 points. Austin Ford added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
On 1/25, the Jaguars defeated the Saline County team by a score of 37-17. The team was led in scoring by Matthew Jernigan, who scored 10 points, and Austin Ford and Darius Shelton added 8 points each. Zain Saleemuddin chipped in 4 points off the bench.
The boys play again this Saturday (2/20) vs. Longley Baptist Church at 1pm. The game will be played at the Second Baptist Academy located on 6111 W. 83rd St. in Little Rock.

7th & 8th Grade Jaguars vs. Longley Baptist Church 1/16/09:
The Jaguars lost a close game on Saturday against Longley Baptist Church. The final score was 30-29. The Jaguars were led in scoring by Austin Ford, who scored 13 points. Matthew Jernigan added 10 points.
The team will play Saturday January 23rd at the revised time of 3pm. The game will be played at the Heritage School gym located on Stagecoach Road in Little Rock.

7th & 8th Grade Jaguars vs. First Baptist Church 1/9/10:
The Jaguars were victorious again, winning their third game in a row, defeating First Baptist Church by a score of 25-22. The Jaguars were led in scoring by Matthew Jernigan (11 points) and Darius Shelton (7 points).
Their next game is scheduled for Saturday January 16th at 6pm against Victory Baptist Church. The game will be played at the Second Baptist Church located at 1709 Barrow Road in Little Rock.

7th & 8th Grade Jaguars vs. Covenant Keepers Christian Academy 12/19/09:
The 7th & 8th Grade Jaguars won an exciting game against Covenant Keepers Christian Academy, beating them by a score of 39-29. Matthew Jernigan and Jawan Eldridge led the team in scoring with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Darius Shelton added 6 points, including a clutch 3-pointer late in the game to put the game out of reach. The teams defense was the difference in the game causing double digit turnovers. Malik Manning and Marcus Burton rounded out the scoring with 4 and 2 points, respectively. The team received significant contributions off the bench from 7th graders Khyron Gooden and Zain Saleemuddin.
The 7th and 8th grade Jaguars will resume league play on Saturday, January 9th when they take on First Baptist Church at 11am at the Second Baptist Academy gym located at 6111 W. 83rd St. in Little Rock.

7th & 8th Grade Jaguars vs. Second Baptist Church 12/12/09:
This was the Jagurs first league game. The team won a close match 23-16 vs. Second Baptist Church. Jawan Eldridge and Matthew Jernigan lead the team with 5 points each.

The 8th grade Lady Jaguars won their first game this past Saturday December 5th. Please congratulate them on their outstanding performance!

7th & 8th Grade Jaguars 1st Game:
The 7th & 8th grade boys played their first game last night (December 7th) against Dunbar Middle School. They lost by a score of 51-23. The boys played hard, but were a bit nervous with it being their first game. They fell behind big in the first half, but they settled down and played better in the second half. Jawan Eldridge led the team with 12 points.
