Course Expectations- All students are expected to be in class and prepared each day. All students are expected to be engaged in the course and participate in class discussion and group work. I expect you to do your best, and if you are having trouble, see me after class or contact me after class. My e-mail is dean@lisaacademy.org
Materials Needed: Half inch binder, three rings, paper
All notes, handouts, guided notes, returned assignments, etc. need to be kept together – notes need to be dated each day. If you miss class you can get the notes online (lisaacademy.org/dean). The notebook checks will be worth 25 points (25 x 4 = 100 pts)
Notebooks will be graded randomly at least four times per quarter
Assignment Descriptions- Chapter tests, bell assignments, quizzes, key vocabulary, students will have a project or report each semester. Late work will be accepted the next day only for half credit.
Class Rules
1. Respect other students, their opinions, ideas and property
2. Be in your desk and prepared for class when the bell rings
3. Raise your hand and be acknowledged by the teacher before you talk or leave your seat
4. Follow all instructions given by the instructor
Consequences for inappropriate and unacceptable behavior- First time warning, second time detention point and/or parent contact, third time parent conference request and /or office referral.
The detention point system will be used according to LISA Academy Student Handbook
Students are expected to do their own work on individual assignments. Any student found cheating will receive a zero on their work and will be subject to consequences according to the student handbook. THIS INCLUDES COPYING OTHER STUDENTS HOMEWORK !!!!! |
